What type of therapy do you practice?

I use an integrative approach of psychodynamic therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, supportive psychotherapy and mindfulness-based interventions. Every client’s needs are unique, and I will tailor a treatment plan just for you.

How long is a therapy session?

Individual sessions are 50 minutes in length. Couples or family sessions can be 50 minutes or 90 minutes, based on personal preference.

How often will I have a therapy session?

At the beginning of treatment, most clients have weekly sessions. However, each client is unique, and some come every other week, while others prefer twice per week.

What should I do if I have concerns between sessions?

During crisis times, I am available for brief calls without additional charge. However, for general therapy related issues, it is best to wait until your next scheduled appointment.

How long will I be in therapy?

The length of your treatment depends on treatment goals and issues you would like to address. Treatment can range from several weeks to months, or longer. In our work together, the goal is for you to feel that you can successfully incorporate the tools learned in our sessions to feel more self-confident in managing your feelings, solving problems and making healthier life choices.

Can you prescribe medication?

As a social worker, I am not allowed to prescribe medication, but I can provide you with a referral to a qualified psychiatrist for medication evaluation if needed.

Do you accept insurance?

I am not an insurance provider. However, I can provide you with a monthly “superbill” that you can send to your insurance company. Reimbursement from insurance is not guaranteed, and is based on many factors, such as out-of-network mental health benefits, as well as co-pay and deductibles. If you will be seeking insurance reimbursement, please call your insurance company for specific information regarding your policy.

What type of payment to you accept?

I accept check, Zelle transfer and Venmo.

What is your cancellation policy?

I ask for 24 hour notice for cancellations to avoid being charged the full session fee.

What is your fee?

My fee is $150 per 50 minute therapy session. I do offer limited sliding scale appointments.

Do you offer free consultation?

Yes, I offer a free 15 minute initial phone consultation. This will give us a the opportunity to discuss the reasons you are seeking therapy. By the end of the initial phone consultation, I will have a better understanding of if I can assist you, and you will have a sense of if you would like to work with me.

Where do you practice therapy?

I am licensed to practice therapy in the state of California. I offer Telehealth therapy which allows for sessions in the comfort of your own home, office, or vacation destination, with increased privacy, convenience and flexibility.
